Biblical Context
We are strangers and sojourners on earth, our days fleeting like a shadow; nothing here rests permanently.
Neville's Inner Vision
See this verse as a map to the consciousness you truly are. You are the I AM, the unchanging awareness in which all forms appear; to call yourself a 'stranger' is simply a current state of mind, not your permanent identity. The sense of exile arises from dwelling in transient appearances. The line that life on earth is 'a shadow' invites you to let forms pass, while you remain the solid, knowing presence behind them. When you desire a future reality, you do not chase it as an outside event; you awaken it within your own consciousness by assuming it has already occurred. Practice the revision by affirming, I am the I AM, and this moment contains my fulfilled desire. With feeling, imagine the end you seek as already true, and let your inner sense of presence confirm that it is so. As you persist, the sense of being an outsider dissolves and the return to the Presence becomes your natural state.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, repeat 'I am the I AM' until it sinks in; then, as if your desired state exists now, feel the room, the sounds, and your daily life resonating with that reality.
