Biblical Context
The verse names Benaiah as a mighty figure among the thirty and above them, with Ammizabad his son in his course.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within your inner life, the text speaks of a hierarchy of states. Benaiah is not a man in time but a strength of consciousness—mighty among the thirty faculties of mind you possess, and yet higher, above those scattered powers. This above is not conquest over others but integration—an central vision that commands the rest from the throne of awareness. When you inhabit the I AM with such authority, you tune the mental weather so that the many parts of you answer in unison. Ammizabad, his son, represents the next generation of your inner qualities—the creative offspring that follows from the first ruling state. As you dwell in the master state, the next virtue or behavior is born naturally in your life, as a child would appear from a parent’s governance. The verse invites you to see your mind as a lineage, where leadership is generative, not coercive. You can revise any sense of fragmentation by assuming that you are the mighty one and that the son-quality is coming forth now, here and now, through your present sense of I AM.
Practice This Now
Assume you are the mighty one among your inner states, standing above the rest. Feel Ammizabad, the next quality, arising in you now as you claim your state.
