Arising to Build the Inner Sanctuary

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
David mobilizes Israel's leaders to support Solomon, affirming the LORD is with them and that rest is given; he then urges every heart to seek the LORD and to build the sanctuary for the ark of the covenant.
Neville's Inner Vision
In Neville’s view, the princes of Israel symbolize the varied faculties of the mind marshaled into a single purpose: the I AM. The statement that the LORD is with you and that rest is given points to a settled inner state—a consciousness at peace. To set your heart and soul to seek the LORD is not begging for favors, but aligning your entire being with that immanent Presence. The land subdued before the LORD and before his people becomes the mind’s victory over distraction, a turning toward inner governance. Building the sanctuary within to receive the ark and holy vessels is the practical art of inviting higher ideas and truths to dwell in your awareness. “To the name of the LORD” becomes a renaming of your sense of self as the I AM—the unwavering presence that names reality. Thus you mobilize the inner leaders, renew your covenant with perfect loyalty to that presence, and create now the inner temple where God is worshipped and felt, here and throughout your life.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and assume: I am one with the LORD; I have rest on every side. In imagination, build the sanctuary within and welcome the ark of truth into it, feeling the I AM present now.
