The silver and gold offered to the LORD become the lifted, consecrated feelings and beliefs of the individual mind, wealth as inner order rather than mere external treasure. Abishai’s victory over the Edomites represents the decisive revision of stubborn habits, while the garrisons in Edom stand for disciplined mental posts that secure the territories of the mind. When the LORD preserves David whithersoever he goes, it is the sign that consciousness aligned with the I AM protects and guides outward life. Providence, in this light, is the felt sense that imagination and reality are one; as you assume the truth of your divine dominion, you are drawn toward a life that obeys the inner order you have established, not away from it.
