1 Chronicles 16:26-27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Chronicles 16 in context

Scripture Focus

26For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
27Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
1 Chronicles 16:26-27

Biblical Context

The verse declares that all other gods are idols, while the LORD, the Creator, made the heavens. In his presence there is glory, honour, strength, and gladness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the idols of many peoples are but memories of old states of consciousness. The true Creator—the LORD—does not dwell in temples of stone; he is the inner sanctuary, the heavens you feel as your awareness expands. When you recognize that the heavens were made by the I AM that you are, the idols lose their grip. Idols vanish not by argument but by the realization that you are the I AM perceiving. In that recognition, glory and honour rise in your presence; strength and gladness reside in your inner place. This new alignment reorders your inner atmosphere, dissolving fear and filling you with a steady, radiant life. If you persist in feeling the Lord as your creative self, your days become an altar and every scene a visitation of the divine.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume, 'I AM the I AM, Lord of my heavens.' Breathe into the feeling of divine presence and let strength and gladness rise from your inner sanctuary.
