Inner Praise Manifested Everywhere
1 Chronicles 16:23-27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Chronicles 16 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage calls all the earth to sing to the LORD and reveal His salvation daily, declares His glory among the nations, and asserts that the true God is greater than idols, with glory, strength, and joy found in His presence.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, this passage invites you to wake inside your own mind. The earth and the nations are but symbols of states of consciousness; when you hear, 'Sing unto the LORD', you are being asked to awaken the song of awareness within you. The Lord whom you praise is not an external deity apart from you, but the I AM you are already; glory and honour are in His presence because presence is your attentive awareness itself. The line that all the gods of the people are idols declares that every belief held outside of your own I AM is a false god, a mere projection. The heavens were made by the Lord, that is, by your mind's creative power. To declare His salvation is to affirm that your inner state is already healed, delivered, and guided. Great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; fear of the false gods dissolves as you stand in the truth that you are the living temple of the Most High. When you cultivate that awareness, strength and gladness naturally arise in your place.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling: I AM the presence of the Lord. Revise any sense of lack by declaring, 'Salvation shines through my life today; idols of doubt melt in the sunlit awareness'.
