1 Chronicles 1:18-19

Biblical Context

The verses trace a lineage from Arphaxad to Eber and note that Eber had two sons, Peleg and Joktan, with Peleg’s name linked to a time when the earth was divided.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the inner sanctuary of your mind, Arphaxad represents a seed of awareness waking to itself; Shelah is the next stage of realization, and Eber opens a wider field in which two streams emerge: Peleg and Joktan. The phrase 'in his days the earth was divided' is not a geographical note but a symbolic division in consciousness—old beliefs splitting and a new order taking form. The I AM, God in you, remains constant while your thoughts give birth to diversities of life. Providence moves as inner order, guiding this lineage from seed to fruit, from stagnation to expansion. As you inhabit this vision, you see that the generations of thought are not past but states of awareness you momentarily inhabit. Peleg invites you to release the old pattern that once held you, while Joktan invites you into new modes of being. The division is a sign of growth, not loss, and your imagination is the instrument by which you renovate your life through the I AM.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly, place your hand over your heart, repeat 'I am the I AM' and sense the inner earth dividing into the old and the new; feel the old pattern dissolving while a fresh possibility arises, as if you are living in that inner era now.
