Scripture Focus

11In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.
12I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.
13The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
Zephaniah 3:11-13

Biblical Context

The passage promises that, in that day, you will be free from shame and pride, and a purified remnant will trust in the LORD. Deceit fades as holiness takes root and fear is removed as they rest securely.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here, in the inward day Zephaniah describes, you are not fighting enemies outside but awakening sections of your own consciousness. The ‘proud’ who once stood on the holy mountain are the ego's boasting thoughts; the removal of them is not punishment but a shift of identification back to the I AM. The afflicted and poor are not victims but states of receptivity—humility opening the door to reality. When you declare trust in the NAME of the LORD, you are naming the true identity that your awareness already knows. This trust is not future wishful thinking but living acknowledgment that the LORD is your own consciousness. In that truthful posture, iniquity and deceit evaporate; your speech becomes honest because your inner state is aligned with truth. You no longer fear because the remnant rests within you—fed and protected by the awareness that never leaves you. The holy mountain becomes your present level of being, no longer a battleground but a sanctuary where fear cannot inhabit the same room as discovery. Your life then follows the rhythm of calm, secure, truthful being.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly and imagine you are already the purified remnant; repeat, 'I AM the remnant purified, I trust in the LORD,' and feel the fear dissolve as trust takes residence.
