Inner Kingdom Transformation

Zechariah 9:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Zechariah 9 in context

Scripture Focus

6And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.
7And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.
Zechariah 9:6-7

Biblical Context

It speaks of a future purification of a hostile people who belong to God. Those who remain are set to govern within an inner kingdom.

Neville's Inner Vision

In Zechariah’s vision, Ashdod is a stubborn state of mind and the 'bastard' is the split-off self that imagines itself apart from God. The I AM is reshaping the inner geography, not the outside world. I watch the ego’s pride—the Philistines—diminish as I refuse to identify with its warlike stories and hunger. When I declare that the blood is taken from my mouth and the abominations from between my teeth, I am cleansing my thoughts and words, not polishing a distant land. The remnant that remains is aligned with God and rises to govern in Judah—the inner authority that guides my life toward harmony with the one Presence. Ekron becomes a conquered territory within, a Jebusite now offered to the sacred city of peace. The prophecy thus unfolds as an inner transformation: enemies are converted to servants, and the whole inner nation comes under the Kingdom of God within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling 'I am for God.' Revise any prideful voice by imagining it dissolving, then envision the remnant rising to govern your inner land with calm, divine authority.
