Biblical Context
Zechariah 9:11-12 speaks of release from a dry pit by the covenant's blood and invites turning to a stronghold of hope, with a promise of double blessing.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this vision you are invited to awaken to a state, not a place. By the blood of thy covenant I have released thy prisoners out of the pit wherein there is no water — this is your inner decree that your awareness, your I AM, has cut the cords of dryness and fear. You are not waiting for rescue from without; you are summoned to recognize who you are: one who can turn to the stronghold—the fortress of hope that lies in your own consciousness. When the call says, 'Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope,' you are not bargaining with power outside you; you are arousing the latent faith within. The promise 'I will render double unto thee' is the doubling of your inner life: more clarity, more peace, more vitality, and a life that feels doubled in presence, not by accident but by your decision. The pit represents a narrowed state of awareness; the water is the living knowing of your I AM. The covenant is your unwavering recognition that you are that I AM—therefore free, here and now.
Practice This Now
Practice: Assume you are already released. Close your eyes, breathe into the I AM, and feel yourself stepping from the pit into a water-filled fortress; dwell there for a minute, affirming that you will render double unto yourself.
