Neville's Inner Vision
Within this passage the outward armies become my inward states. The chariot from Ephraim, the horse from Jerusalem, the battle bow — these are my old instruments of fear and struggle, dissolved by the awareness that I am the I AM, source of all power. When the verse says, 'he shall speak peace unto the heathen,' I hear peace spoken by my own attention, not as a wish but as my natural condition of mind. My dominion from sea to sea is the vast field of consciousness I cultivate by imaginative acts; by turning to the stronghold, I awaken prisoners of hope to freedom, not from a future event but from belief in lack. When I bend Judah for me and raise up my sons, O Zion against my sons, O Greece, I am aligning parts of myself in harmony, dissolving inner battles. The Lord shall be seen over them; my awareness becomes the arrow that clears the sky; the trumpet and whirlwinds are my inner cues of action. In that day the Lord saves me as the flock; I become a crown, an ensign upon my land.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are the peace that rules your life. Revise a recent fear by declaring I am the stronghold now, and feel it real.
