Zechariah 8:8

Biblical Context

God promises to bring the people to dwell in Jerusalem. They will be God's people, and He will be their God, living in truth and righteousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 8:8 reveals the inner covenant by which all outward promise becomes inward reality. Jerusalem is not a city on a map, but the throne of I AM within your own mind where God presides. When Zechariah says they shall be My people and I will be their God, he names the condition of consciousness in which you awaken to the truth that God and you are one in awareness. The people are your living beliefs and loyalties; to bring them home is to revise them until truth reigns in every decision. To dwell in the midst of Jerusalem is to live from the center of awareness, not from fear, scarcity, or separation, but from the certainty that the I AM is present as you. Truth and righteousness are not external rules but the felt alignment between what you know to be true and how you act. As you hold this state, your world rearranges itself to reflect it, and you become the people who know God, and God who knows you, in every moment.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, assume you are already dwelling in the inner Jerusalem; feel the I AM as the steady center of your being. Silently declare: I am God's beloved, I am truth and righteousness, and let that state saturate your life.
