Biblical Context
People from many cities will come to seek the LORD and pray before Him in Jerusalem. Many nations will gather in inner worship as the presence of God becomes their reality.
Neville's Inner Vision
On the surface this speaks of crowds and nations in Jerusalem; yet Neville would tell you it is the inner drama of consciousness. The LORD of hosts is the I AM within you; the promise that 'it shall yet come to pass' is a reminder that the world is your inner state becoming visible. When you hear 'Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD,' hear it as a command to turn your attention inward and to seek the LORD of hosts in the sanctuary of your mind. The line 'I will go also' is your consent to participate in this divine action, to align your thoughts, feelings, and choices with the truth you desire. 'Many people and strong nations' symbolize the powers of your own psyche — memory, imagination, will, emotion — all drawn to worship the I AM. By abiding in this awareness, you experience presence: the imagined Jerusalem within becomes a center from which activity flows, and outward events harmonize with that inner rhythm. Practically, this is practiced by assuming the feeling of the fulfilled prayer until it is real in you.
Practice This Now
Assume you are already in the Jerusalem of inner presence; repeat to yourself, 'I go to pray before the LORD now,' and feel your whole being drawn into unity with the I AM.
