Inner Renewal, No Fear

Zechariah 8:14-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Zechariah 8 in context

Scripture Focus

14For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not:
15So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.
Zechariah 8:14-15

Biblical Context

God declares He intends to bless, not punish, Jerusalem and Judah. The past wrath is replaced by a present intention to do good, and fear is asked to be silenced.

Neville's Inner Vision

Zechariah 8:14-15 speaks in your own inner speech. The LORD of hosts is the I AM within you, not a distant judge. The line about punishing your fathers and repenting not is the mind clinging to old images—images that fade when you remember your true identity as awareness. In this moment, a new note is sounded: I think to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah; I think it because I AM, your consciousness, intends it now. Fear not, for the inner movement is blessing, not wrath. You are not at the mercy of external histories; you are the one who imagines them into form. If the old stings of judgment arise, revise them: the energy of punishment is simply a misread of your own I AM’s purpose to bless. The practical meaning is clear: assume the state of well-being now, dwell in the feeling that the inner city is flourishing, and let the sense of safety settle into you as you align with God’s intention to do you good.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and rest in the I AM. Assume the felt reality: I am blessed by God’s inward purpose; fear is dissolved, and the inner city of my being flourishes now.
