Biblical Context
Zechariah 6:9-15 speaks of captives returning, crowns placed on Joshua the high priest, and a future Branch who will build the temple. It promises peace between priest and king, contingent on obedience.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your inner vision is not a record of the past but a map of consciousness. The captives—Heldai, Tobijah and Jedaiah—are energies returning to your house; the silver and gold are your moments of awareness you invest in crown-true authority. Joshua, the high priest, is your present self; The Branch is the rising Christ within you that will build the temple in your mind. When The Branch sits on his throne, bearing the glory, there is a peace that passes understanding between your outer faculties and your inner priest. The crowns, gathered as a memorial in the temple, mark your remembered victories of consciousness. Those far off are the dispersed parts of you, drawn by the vow to obey the voice of the LORD within. And this comes to pass only as you diligently obey—assume the end is now, feel the royal crown upon your head, and act from that throne. This is your inner coronation, here and now.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly and assume you are crowned Joshua, the priest-king, with The Branch building the temple within you. Feel the crown, sense peace between your thoughts and feelings, and carry that state into your day.
