Biblical Context
Zechariah 6:5-7 describes four heavenly spirits moving before the Lord, with colored horses representing different inner dispositions that roam the earth; the command to walk to and fro signifies activating these movements within consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
In Neville’s view, the four spirits are not external forces but four vibrational states of your own awareness, standing before the I AM. The black horses to the north, the white after, the grisled toward the south, and the bay roaming the earth symbolize distinct faculties of imagination in operation—focus, purity of intention, mixed impulses, and expansive exploration. Their journeys through the earth reflect how your inner weather extends into every circumstance of life. The directive to 'walk to and fro' is an invitation to let your consciousness travel through all conditions, guided by the sovereign I AM you truly are. When you realize that these movements are within you, you can choose which state leads your day, align each exterior event with an inner posture, and watch reality respond to your inner decree. The Presence of God—that is, the I AM—pervades all movement, so your inner kingly authority governs the world you experience.
Practice This Now
Choose a current situation you wish to change. Close your eyes and affirm, 'I AM the presence that walks the earth of my life.' Then imagine the four horses moving through your inner landscape, each carrying your desired outcome, and feel the reality as already established in your consciousness.
