Biblical Context
Exiles from Babylon are brought into the temple and Joshua the high priest is crowned with silver and gold. The act symbolizes the union of kingship and priesthood within covenant loyalty.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the reader in the present moment, the pageant is an inward drama. The captives from Babylon are the beliefs you have counted as real but which keep you feeling separate from your desires. The house of Josiah is your inner sanctuary where awareness resides. Joshua the son of Josedech represents your higher self—a combined king and priest, the ruler who serves truth. The silver and gold you are told to collect are the thoughts and feelings you invest in your conscious life; the crowns are states of awareness you put on, not external ornaments. When you place the crown on Joshua's head, you are not waiting for a future event; you are affirming that the I AM, your awareness, already governs the temple of your mind. Kingship here is not domination but orderly alignment: governing your inner world with holiness, integrity, and covenant loyalty. The prophecy unfolds in the present moment when you inhabit this state, and your outer life begins to reflect it as if by magic. Practice is simple: soften into the feeling of being crowned now, and revise any sense of lack by acknowledging the inner sovereignty you already possess.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine a crown descending onto your head, warm and bright. Say, 'I am crowned now in the king-priest within; my awareness governs this temple with holiness and power.'
