Inner Power Not By Might
Zechariah 4:4-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Zechariah 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Not by human might or external power, but by the Spirit of the Lord; the inner source is what accomplishes the task. The message invites you to seek the divine movement within rather than relying on outward force.
Neville's Inner Vision
Zechariah’s scene speaks not to a distant event, but to a law enclosed in your own consciousness. The angel’s question and the reply reveal that true power is not earned by brute strength or political might, but by the Spirit you already are. Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit means your objectives are moved by the inner這 movement of your I AM—your living, aware essence. The word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel is a declaration you can make in the present tense: your life is carried forward by consciousness, not by external force. When you meet lack or obstacle, resist the impulse to marshal more effort; instead, invite the Spirit to operate within you. Speak the inner decree, “I am the Spirit that moves me; I am guided now by the I AM within.” Feel it as real, and let imagination bridge the gap between desire and manifestation. The outer world then reflects the inner law, and what seemed stalled becomes steady movement under Spirit’s direction.
Practice This Now
Practice: Sit quietly, repeat the decree, 'Not by might, nor by power, but by Spirit,' until you feel the I AM as your moving force. Then imagine your goal as already real in consciousness, and let that inner certainty carry you into action.
