Read Zechariah 4 in context

Scripture Focus

3And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
4So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
5Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
Zechariah 4:3-5

Biblical Context

Zechariah sees two olive trees beside the lampstand; he asks what they are, and the angel asks if he knows, but he does not.

Neville's Inner Vision

The lampstand represents your constant awareness, the light you are. The two olive trees are not external objects but two inner states that feed the lamp with oil—the energy that keeps your inner light alive. The exchange shows that the source is within you, and knowledge awakens when you recognize the I AM as the supply. In Neville's method, the visible prophecy is the fruit of an inner reality already present. To dissolve the confusion, assume you already know what the trees are; imagine them as two steady streams of inner supply flanking your awareness, nourishing the lamp with faith and discernment. As you rest in that image, the sense of lack dissolves and your present state aligns with the promise, so what you seek begins to form from within.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, picture the lamp of awareness in your chest, and place two olive trees on either side as your inner states of faith and discernment. Revise: 'I am the light; these trees feed my lamp; I choose to feel the oil of awareness now.'
