Inner Garment Transformation
Zechariah 3:4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse commands taking away filthy garments, declaring that iniquity has passed from you, and promising a change of raiment.
Neville's Inner Vision
Before you stands Zechariah’s vision: a decree to strip away the filthy garments and to clothe the one with a change of raiment. In Neville's terms, those filthy robes are your old states of consciousness—guilt, fear, limitation—that you have worn as self. The proclamation 'Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee' is not future hope but a fait accompli in your inner world: a release of belief in a separate self. The replacement garment represents a new sense of being, a renewed identity aligned with the I AM, the awareness that you are already forgiven and intact. When you assume this new attire in imagination, you do not beg for mercy; you inhabit the truth that your inner state has shifted. The external world will adjust to your inner change as surely as clothing follows the body. The practice is to enter the inner court, acknowledge the old garments, announce their passing, and feel the new robe wrapping you in grace. Your job is to dwell in the feeling of complete acceptance, letting the inner vision incarnate as your present reality.
Practice This Now
Take a moment now: close your eyes and imagine the filthy garments shedding from you, replaced by a radiant white robe. Feel the relief in your chest as the old guilt vanishes; affirm, 'I am now clothed in change of raiment,' and let this inner image become your present reality.
