Under Vine and Fig Tree Unity
Zechariah 3:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse envisions a day of peaceful neighborly life, sheltered by the vine and fig tree.
Neville's Inner Vision
That day is not a time on the calendar but a state of consciousness you enter when you acknowledge the I AM as your unchanging environment. The vine and the fig tree stand for abundance, shelter, and the nourishment you offer to all parts of yourself, including those you call your neighbors in thought. When Zechariah says to call every man your neighbor, you are naming every trait, memory, and impulse within as a trusted companion, not a rival. The LORD of hosts—your own higher self—supports this inner city of unity, a sanctuary built from awareness. As you persist in this inner posture, fear loosens its grip and cooperation channels flow into your relationships and decisions. You begin to live from the end—peace, harmony, and communal plenty—here and now, because imagination precedes form and you are the Imaginative Power. The verse thus invites an inward settlement: make your inner garden the source of your outer world, and the world will align with your inner vision of unity.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, breathe deeply, and visualize a grove of vine and fig trees shading you; declare 'I now call every man my neighbor into the I AM' and feel the unity as your present reality.
