Zechariah invites you to step inside your own mind and see the city there. Jerusalem stands for the Kingdom of God within, not a place on a map but a state of awareness you inhabit. When the prophet says to measure its breadth and length, he is teaching the technique of consciousness: observe how wide your present feeling of life is, and how long your inner promise can endure. In Neville's psychology, God is the I AM—your unchanging awareness. Begin with the assumption that this inner city already exists in fullness; imagine the walls, streets, and towers rising from your beliefs, not from external signs. As you measure, you revise any sense of lack and affirm renewal: the more you dwell in the feeling of being already complete, the more your outer circumstances align with that reality. This is not idle fantasy but the creative act by which creation itself awakens within you. The prophecy points to a new creation you can claim here and now by abiding in awareness and letting imagination do its work until the inner city becomes your lived experience.
