Biblical Context
Zechariah 2:12 conveys that God will claim Judah as His portion in the holy land and will reassert choice over Jerusalem. This points to an inner inheritance and a renewed center of consciousness within the believer.
Neville's Inner Vision
I hear Zechariah speaking to the living mind: the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again. Judah represents the currents of your life—your loyalties, loves, and judgments—set within a holy land of awareness. The holy land is not a geography but a state of consciousness you tend with attention and reverence. The LORD here is the I AM within you, not an external ruler, and His inheritance is your acknowledgment of the truth you already possess. ‘Choosing Jerusalem again’ is a practical invitation to refresh your center, to reawaken the holy city in your mind by aligning thoughts and feelings with the reality you intend to experience. Jerusalem stands for wholeness, holiness, and peace in the present moment. When you claim this inner geography, your experience shifts toward the Kingdom of God as your immediate atmosphere, not as a distant prize to chase.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the feeling of I AM inheriting your inner land. Revise any sense of lack to fullness by affirming, 'Jerusalem, now,' until the feeling of wholeness fills your awareness.
