Evening Light Awakening

Zechariah 14:6-7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Zechariah 14 in context

Scripture Focus

6And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
Zechariah 14:6-7

Biblical Context

The verses describe a time when light and dark are not distinct. A single light is known to the LORD, and even in the evening it becomes light.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Neville's ear, Zechariah is not predicting weather but shifting states of consciousness. 'That day' is the moment your awareness ceases to measure life by day or night and discovers itself as the I AM, the living light that cannot be split by contrast. The lines 'the light shall not be clear, nor dark' reveal the inner paradox: when you are identified with pure awareness, light and darkness coexist in a single, undivided radiance—not a change of weather but a transformation of the viewer. 'Not day, nor night'—the LORD knows this time as timeless consciousness, a constant I AM presence beyond schedules and dualities. Then, 'evening time it shall be light' marks a practical turning: during your ordinary transition moments—after a perceived loss or doubt—assume that the darkness is only a veil over the light that you already are. By dwelling in the feeling that the I AM is the light of your entire experience, you shift from reaction to realization, and consciousness itself becomes the brightness.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling: 'I am the light in this instant; there is no separation between light and dark in my consciousness.' Sit quietly and repeat this revision for a few minutes, letting the sense of light fill your awareness.
