Scripture Focus

12And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
13And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
14And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
15And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
Zechariah 14:12-15

Biblical Context

The passage presents a divine plague against enemies of Jerusalem, signaling judgment and inner upheaval, followed by abundance and order when consciousness aligns.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through Neville’s lens, Zechariah 14:12-15 is not a matter of history but a map of the mind in operation. Jerusalem represents the fixed center of awareness, the I AM you are always conscious of. The armies that fight against it are the restless thoughts that oppose this truth. When you resist your own I AM, the plague appears as decay and confusion, the symbolic breakdown of old identities and the surrender of the senses to doubt. The great tumult from the LORD among them is inner friction: you feel the clash between what you believe you are and what you claim to be. Yet if you persist in recognizing I AM, the external scene recedes and the wealth of the heathen, your hidden talents, resources, and possibilities, comes into view, because you are no longer governing life from fear. The plague of beasts shows that lower impulses, such as desire and habit, bow to your inner order when you dwell as the one I AM. The passage thus frames judgment as a correction of consciousness, clearing the way for justice, abundance, and harmony to unfold from within.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and dwell in the feeling of I AM as the sole power within. Revise any sense of separation by affirming, 'I am Jerusalem within me, and all plagues dissolve as I stand in awareness.'
