Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Zechariah 13:8-9 speaks of a land where two parts are cut off, and a faithful third is refined by fire; the tested remnant calls on the Name and declares the LORD as their God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed inwardly, the verse reveals the inner economy of consciousness. The two parts that are cut off are the mind’s grasping, fear, and attachments that refuse to change; they die to give room for the third part—the authentic I AM in you—to remain unshaken. The fire is not punishment but a warm, discerning light that refines this true self as silver is refined and gold is tried. As your awareness passes through this fire, you begin to call upon the Name from deepest being, and the response of consciousness answers, It is my people, and your voice returns, The LORD is my God. In this reading, Zion is your inner covenant—the boundary within which you refuse lesser identities and stay aligned with God present as I AM. Purity and integrity emerge, not by denial but by a steadfast witnessing of thoughts and feelings until they reveal their true nature. Salvation and redemption come as you recognize the Lord resident in you, and your life harmonizes with that truth. The path is inward, practical, and immediately available to the waking mind.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you are the remnant, refined by the inner fire. Feel the I AM affirming, You are mine, and declare, The LORD is my God.
