Zechariah 13:8

Biblical Context

Zechariah 13:8 speaks of purification within the land of the LORD. Two parts are cut off and die, and a remnant remains.

Neville's Inner Vision

In Zechariah 13:8 the land is your entire field of consciousness, and the LORD speaks as the I AM within. Two parts in every mind are pruned and die; these are the beggarly halves of fear, doubt, self-judgment, attachments that cling to separation. The third part remaining is the true nature of you: the preserved seed of awareness that cannot be destroyed by circumstance. This is not punishment but disciplined revelation: as you cease feeding the old patterns, the clarifying fire of awareness consumes them. When you refuse to identify with the drama of lack, you discover that the so-called two parts were never you, merely temporary states. The remaining third is your revived identity in God, your salvation and new creation blossoming within. The change is not outside you but your inner state, your continuous admission of I AM as your only reality. events then bend to the reality of that state, and hope becomes the present experience, not a distant goal. In that recognition, renewal is now.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly, name a fear or pattern you deem two parts dying, and in your imagination say: 'Only the I AM remains in me; prune away the rest now,' then feel the third self alive as your present state.
