The Inner Fountain of Cleansing
Zechariah 13:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Zechariah foresees a day when a fountain is opened for sin and uncleanness, and the land is purged of idols, prophets, and unclean spirits.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, the verse invites you to recognize that the cleansing spoken of is a state of consciousness now available to you. The fountain is not external rain but the ever-present flow of awareness that washes away attachment to idols—those images you have worshiped as separate from your I AM. In your inner city, the land stands for your mind, and cleansing means your thoughts, feelings, and self-image are rendered fresh by a single act of attention: you turn toward the fountain and drink. When you acknowledge that I am the living awareness, the names of idols lose their grip; you do not forget facts, but you cease giving them power over you. The prophets and the unclean spirit are the old voices and beliefs that once dictated your reality. As you identify with the I AM, these voices pass out of the land, leaving you unburdened, present, and whole. This is the day you have been seeking—the day you realize God in you and within your own consciousness.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly and visualize a luminous fountain opening in the center of your chest. As you breathe, revise every sense of lack by saying I AM the fountain of cleansing; idols are dissolved; the I AM is all there is, letting the old voices fade.
