Biblical Context
Zechariah 12:4-6 speaks of a day when God unsettles outward power and awakens inner sight, strengthening Jerusalem by the LORD and restoring your inner city of awareness.
Neville's Inner Vision
That day is a state of consciousness, not a political hour. The horses and riders are the habit patterns of the external world fear, pride, and need for control, suddenly rendered powerless by a shift of attention. When God says I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, He is describing a waking of your inner faculty that recognizes you are the house itself the I AM behind every thought. The blinding of the horses is the collapse of devotion to outward power; you stop chasing appearances and begin to trust the inner ruler. The governors who say, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD are your own inner governors acknowledging that strength is not in people or nations but in your covenant loyalty to the I AM. The image of the governors as a hearth of fire among the wood, devouring all round about, is your ruling faculties burning away doubts and distractions until Jerusalem is inhabited again in her own place, restored to awareness within. The result is not political triumph but the reestablishment of your inner center where God truly dwells.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume the feeling: I AM the I AM, the ruler within. See Jerusalem rise in your chest as a living flame that devours doubt and casts light on every choice.
