Neville's Inner Vision

Within Zechariah I hear the warning of a counterfeit governor in my own consciousness—the idol shepherd I have trusted to rule from surface symbols. He neglects those cut off, the young, the broken, and the still, while devouring the fat and tearing at the vulnerable. This is the dream of power without Presence: a sword in the arm and darkness in the eye, a sign that I have traded the living I AM for images that feed ego and starve spirit. Yet the text also invites a renewal: turn from idol-worship to the awareness that I AM is the true shepherd, always visiting, healing, and feeding. When I align with that inner Presence, the flock regains its health, fear dissolves, and perception grows bright with discernment. The fear of judgment recedes as responsibility returns to consciousness, where every thought is a shepherding act and every feeling is guidance.
