Tools of a Foolish Shepherd

Zechariah’s vision places a command in the mouth of the Lord: take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd. In the inner sense, the foolish shepherd is a state of consciousness that trusts outward authority, noise, and fear more than the I AM within. The instruments are not mere metal but the habitual thoughts, beliefs, and methods by which you think you must govern your life. The Lord bids you seize them, not reject them, so you may observe and then re-aim them by deliberate assumption. When you imagine yourself using these tools to guide events, you are not praising folly but reclaiming power. Your I AM—the awareness that you are—is sovereign and creative. By a simple inner revision, these instruments serve my inner shepherding, not my old fear, and you turn outward control into inward discernment. As you choose this new stance, you reframe the world you experience: the tools of the foolish shepherd become instruments of wisdom, leadership, and compassionate guidance within your own consciousness.
