Seeds of Remembering and Return
Zechariah 10:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Zechariah 10 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
God promises to scatter his people among nations, yet they will remember him in distant lands, live with their children, and turn back to him.
Neville's Inner Vision
To read Zechariah 10:9 as Neville would, I see God not as a place outside but the I AM within me. "I will sow them among the people" becomes the act of sowing a new consciousness into the crowded mind of life. I am planting a seed of remembrance in the 'far countries'—the remote corners of my experience where I have felt lost, separated, or blind. In that inner soil, remembrance blossoms as I recall the I AM, not as memory of a thing but as the present awareness that God is my life. 'They shall remember me' is the inner recognition that the presence of God now exists wherever I am. The phrase 'they shall live with their children' points to the birth of new states, outcomes, and relationships that spring from this inner turn. And 'turn again' is the daily revision of consciousness, a perpetual returning to the center of God within. Practically, I can imagine and feel that I am already sowing this remembrance, and watch as the outer life gravitates toward harmony.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine you are the seed sown among the people; feel the remembrance of the I AM in far places. Then see yourself turning back, living with your children, as the fruit of this inner turning.
