Titus 3:5-6 Inner Regeneration

Titus 3:5-6 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Titus 3 in context

Scripture Focus

5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Titus 3:5-6

Biblical Context

Salvation comes through mercy, not by deeds. Regeneration is a cleansing and renewal wrought by the Holy Spirit.

Neville's Inner Vision

Salvation is not earned by dusty deeds but awakened as a state of consciousness. The verse asks you to see that mercy, not merit, saves you; the washing spoken of is a mental cleansing, a renewal of your very sense of self. The Holy Spirit is not a distant force, but the renewing power in your I AM, showering you abundantly through Jesus Christ—the Christ within, the living son of your awareness. When you realize that these words describe your inner movements, you experience regeneration as a fresh, childlike perception, a new creation arising from the within. Tell yourself that your old self’s hows and knows are being replaced by the immaculate abundance of life, and that this abundance is already yours in consciousness. The apparent world yields to your inner state; therefore, alter your inner story, and the outer scene aligns with the new you. This is not posturing but waking to the reality that you are loved, renewed, and saved by the mercy of God-as-I-AM.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume I am saved by mercy. Feel the washing of regeneration and the renewing Spirit imagined into reality.
