Biblical Context
Titus 3:4-7 speaks of God's mercy appearing, not by our deeds, but by grace. It describes the inner washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Ghost, making us heirs of eternal life.
Neville's Inner Vision
In Titus, the appearing kindness of God is not something outside you; it is the turning of your awareness to the I AM that you are. The distinction between 'works' and 'salvation' dissolves when you recognize mercy as the activity of your own consciousness. The washing of regeneration is a mental baptism—an inner cleansing of stale beliefs by the inflow of grace, a renewal of the Holy Ghost as your living perception. This grace is shed abundantly through Jesus Christ your Saviour, meaning the inner Christ within you floods your sense of self with life when you cease identifying with lack and begin identifying with being loved. To be justified by grace is to acknowledge that your true identity is already rightful, already free, and that your inheritance—eternal life—is the natural fruit of that present state. The kingdom comes as you inhabit a new assumption: that you are loved, that you are renewed, that you are an heir. When you live from this inner state, outer circumstances become the expression, not the cause, of your life.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume you are the I AM governing your life. Repeat the phrase 'I am the I AM, justified by grace, an heir of eternal life' until it feels real.
