Inner Obedience, Gentle Peace

Titus 3:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Titus 3 in context

Scripture Focus

1Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
2To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
Titus 3:1-2

Biblical Context

Paul urges submission to authorities and readiness for every good work, while guarding the tongue against evil talk. It invites meekness and gentleness toward all.

Neville's Inner Vision

This is more than social instruction; it is a map of consciousness. The 'principalities and powers' are the inner authorities you have accepted as your governing conditions of awareness. To be subject to them is to consent to the laws of your I AM, the indwelling governor that guides every choice. Obeying magistrates becomes aligning with the inner order that directs thoughts and feelings toward constructive ends; you are ready for every good work because your imagination is trained to see opportunities and act in service. Speaking evil of no one, avoiding brawling, and showing meekness to all is not mere etiquette but an inner posture: you refuse to nourish conflict in your mind; you choose gentleness as the natural expression of the I AM in form. As you persist, outer conditions reflect the steady, loving watch of your inner self. The more consistent your inner state of courtesy, the more your world becomes a field of cooperation and peace.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare: I am subject to the I AM within me; I am gentle, I speak no evil, I am ready for every good work. Let the inner governor guide my words and deeds.
