Titus 2:10

Biblical Context

Titus 2:10 instructs servants to act with fidelity and not steal, so that their conduct adorns the gospel of God our Savior in all things.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 2:10 speaks not of a mere rule about stealing, but of a condition of consciousness. When I say 'not purloining,' I am declaring that the sense of lack, the urge to take what is not mine, is dissolved within me. In this inner fidelity, I adorn the doctrine of God our Savior because the gospel becomes a living idea, not a distant command. The 'doctrine' exists as the I AM—an awareness that cannot be polluted by fear or scarcity. As I hold this vision, my outward conduct mirrors it: I act with honesty, generosity, and integrity in every engagement, so that the inner conviction flows into all things. To adorn the doctrine is to reveal, through consistent fidelity, that God is present as my Savior now, here. The moment I assume the truth of abundance and rightful possession, the world rearranges itself to fit that inner note; the outward shows the inner decree. Thus fidelity is not compliance but a creative act of consciousness that clothes the gospel in the garment of daily life.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume the feeling: I am faithful in all things, adorned by the doctrine of God our Savior. In the next moment of temptation, revise it with that inner conviction and act from integrity.
