Biblical Context
Titus 1:1-2 speaks of Paul's authority as servant and apostle, grounded in the faith of God's elect and the truth that follows godliness, with a hope anchored in eternal life promised by God.
Neville's Inner Vision
Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, is not a historical man to chase, but the I AM awakening within you to its sacred mission. The 'faith of God's elect' is your own inward certainty—the elect are those whom consciousness recognizes as true; faith here is not belief in a doctrine but alignment with the truth you are becoming. The 'acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness' means you acknowledge the living truth of your divine nature, and that truth expresses itself as godliness in outer form when imagination is consistent with it. In 'hope of eternal life'—eternal life is a present state of awareness, not a distant future prize; God who cannot lie is the unwavering fact of your consciousness. Before the world began there was a quiet intention of your magnificence, and that intention is being realized as you persist in living from the aware I AM. Every line of Titus invites you to revise your sense of self until your inner conviction becomes your outer experience.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume: 'I am the faithful elect, living eternal life now.' Feel the truth of this as a present sensation, then carry that feeling through your day.
