Neville's Inner Vision
All of scripture, in the Neville fashion, is a state of consciousness. This verse invites you into the inner feast where you are already loved. When I say the I AM brought me to the banqueting house, I am describing the moment my awareness shifts into the presence of utter acceptance. The banner over me is love; that banner is not something outside of me but the very atmosphere of my inner life—the I AM’s light encircling me as protection and invitation. The banqueting house represents intimate communion with myself as God in imagination, a place where appetites and fears are quieted by the certainty that I am seen, cherished, and kept. As you dwell there, you may observe your outward world rearranging to reflect this inner order: a growing sense of grace, favor, and covenant fidelity becoming your habitual mood. The more you feel it as real now, the more your life conforms to that feast.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise your state: declare 'I am loved by the I AM' and imagine stepping into a banqueting hall where a radiant banner of love hovers over you, now. Rest in that feeling until it feels like your natural atmosphere.
