Read Ruth 3 in context

Scripture Focus

18Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
Ruth 3:18

Biblical Context

Naomi tells Ruth to wait and see how the matter ends, for Boaz will not rest until he completes it today.

Neville's Inner Vision

Ruth 3:18 invites us into a practice of stillness where imagination and awareness collaborate to finish the task within. The outer scene—the waiting, the plan—gives way to an inner movement governed by the I AM, the steadfast awareness you truly are. When Naomi bids Ruth to sit still, she is teaching a discipline: halt frantic outward striving and align with the divine sequence that is already at work in consciousness. The line about the man not resting until the thing is finished speaks to the inner intelligence—the Boaz of the psyche—which will complete the matter in its proper timing when preparation and faith are aligned. In Neville’s language, you do not force events; you cultivate a state of consciousness in which the end is already present. The future becomes present by assuming it, feeling it real, and refusing to let doubt intrude. Remain in quiet expectation, and the inner activity completes the task this day, bringing peace and discernment as its fruit.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, rest in the I AM, and declare 'It is finished.' Then imagine the scene already resolved and stay in that feeling until the sense of completion remains.
