Gleaning Grace in the Field
Ruth 2:1-3 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Ruth 2 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Naomi has a kinsman of wealth named Boaz, and Ruth asks Naomi to let her glean in his field. She ends up gleaning in Boaz’s field, guided by grace and a sense of divine arrangement.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within Ruth 2:1–3, the outer scene is only the echo of an inner state. Boaz stands not as a man alone, but as the state of awareness that wealth and protection issue from I AM itself. Ruth’s move to the field is your decision to turn attention toward grace, to say go to the field and glean—the inner permission to receive. The hap that falls her way is not accident; it is the alignment of consciousness with provision. When you inhabit the feeling of being already cared for, you enter the same field where abundance gathers. Naomi represents inner wisdom guiding perception, and Boaz represents the unseen principle that honors your seeking by making ready the field. Your task is to assume that you are in the field of grace, that you are led to the exact place where your needs are supplied. Rest in that I AM presence, revise any sense of lack, and observe the life that mirrors your inner state.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume you are already in the field of grace, and feel the gratitude as if provision is now yours; revise any sense of lack into presence.
