Scripture Focus

11(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
Romans 9:11

Biblical Context

Paul states that God's purpose stands apart from human deeds. It is determined by the one who calls, not by works.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that Romans speaks of a purpose according to election that does not depend on birth or works, but on the One who calls. In Neville's psychology, this 'calling' is your inner state of consciousness—your I AM awareness—that chooses the state you inhabit. The 'unborn' are your latent possibilities, awakened by the memory that you are the I AM and that reality flows from an inner decision. When you align with the belief I am, you understand that life is not created by deeds but by the calling of consciousness. The moment you permit a revision—feeling as if you are already what you seek—you dissolve the sense of separation between works and grace. The law says: you are chosen whenever you assume the state and remain faithful to the inner call. Your task is to dwell in that confidence, and reality will follow as the echoes of your inner birth.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Choose one state you desire and assume you are already called into it, feeling the I AM guiding you there.
