Biblical Context
Believers are not governed by the flesh but by the Spirit, provided the Spirit dwells within. If Christ is in you, the body is dead to sin while the Spirit brings life and the power to quicken your mortal frame.
Neville's Inner Vision
You are not waiting for God to come; you're waking to the fact that the Spirit of God dwells in your consciousness. The 'flesh' is a state of mind—habit, fear, limitation. When you acknowledge the Spirit as your dwelling, you shift your center from body-identified action to living from the I AM that animates it. Christ in you is the present ruler of your inner house; with that awareness the 'body dead because of sin' loses its tyrannical grip, for Life—righteousness—functions through you. The verse promising quickening by the Spirit who raised Jesus is a declaration of inner possibility: the same power that raised Christ from the dead resides in you, ready to energize your cells and awaken vitality. As you dwell in this truth, you feel a new inner alignment—outer circumstances begin to reflect your inner conviction, fatigue dissolves, and life flows with ease. You are not a victim of the flesh; you are the I AM actively expressing through a Spirit that breathes life into your mortal frame.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes, breathe, and declare, 'The Spirit of God dwells in me now.' Feel the inner life quicken your chest and gently affirm, 'I am the I AM in action through a body made alive by righteousness.'
