Spirit Of Life Frees Now
Romans 8:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Romans 8:2 presents the Spirit's life as the power freeing me from the old law of sin and death. The deliverance comes as a shift of consciousness, not as external change.
Neville's Inner Vision
Your true self is the I AM, and the verse says the Spirit life is the governing law. The old order—the law of sin and death—loses its power the moment I claim a higher sovereign state. It isn't about changing outside conditions; it's about changing the state of consciousness and the images I hold. When I dwell on the feeling that the Spirit life is now the ruling principle, the sense of limitation dissolves and freedom appears. The law of sin and death fades when I acknowledge that life operates by a different law—a law of vitality, clarity, and creative suggestion. As I persist in the assumption that I am already led by the Spirit of life, I revise the sense of lack and catch a feeling of effortless freedom. The world then mirrors this inner shift, and deliverance seems as real as my next thought. This is deliverance: not a future event, but a present recognition that my inner state determines my outer experience.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: In a quiet moment, assume the state 'I am free by the Spirit of life now' and feel that this state governs every thought. If lack or fear arises, revise it by silently saying, 'There is no law but the Spirit-life now.'
