Biblical Context
Romans 6:8-9 teaches that if we identify with Christ's death, we will also share in His resurrection life; death no longer has dominion when we inhabit that risen consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
To live as a man who has died with Christ is to shift your center of gravity from the old self to the I AM that Christ represents. The passage speaks not of external events, but of a transformation in awareness: when you acknowledge that you and Christ share one life, death’s claim loses its sting, for the risen state is your true condition. Christ’s death signifies the dissolution of the old narrative of separation; His resurrection declares the present viability of a new self that cannot die. In Neville’s terms, your imagination is the instrument by which this new state is felt into reality. Do not seek proof in outward circumstances; decree from within that you are already dead to the old self and alive in the Christ within you. When you dwell in that I AM, the external world aligns with this inner truth, and death ceases to rule because you now live from the eternal life that cannot perish.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume 'I am one with Christ now'; feel the risen life flowing through you and remain in that consciousness for a minute, letting it reshape your sense of self.
