Read Romans 6 in context

Scripture Focus

20For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
Romans 6:20-21

Biblical Context

These verses describe the old life under sin, which yielded no righteousness and ended in death. They invite you into a new state of consciousness where righteousness is present here and now.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the inner language of the I AM, Romans 6:20-21 is not a condemnation but a map of states. When you believed you were a servant of sin, your awareness acted as if righteousness did not concern you; the old self found its 'fruit' in cravings, guilt, and a sense of distance from life. That fruit—shame and death—arose because you spoke from a state that denies your true being. Yet this passage does not accuse you; it shows you a switch of consciousness is possible. Realize you are the I AM that already possesses what you seek: righteousness, peace, and life. If you imagine yourself always in the company of this blessed presence, the inner movements align with that truth, and the old appetites weaken. The moment you refuse to identify with past actions and instead dwell in the feeling of being righteous, you step into a living state where nothing external can override your inner reality. You are not changed by events; you are changed by the state you affirm within—the state of I AM, here and now.

Practice This Now

Imaginative_act: Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the state of righteousness now. Feel the I AM within you and revise any memory of past sin by affirming, 'I am free, I am whole, I am divine awareness.'
