Inner Yield: Romans 6:19

Romans 6:19 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Romans 6 in context

Scripture Focus

19I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
Romans 6:19

Biblical Context

Paul says your bodily faculties have yielded to impurity in the past; now you can reorient them toward righteousness and holiness.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the realm of consciousness, the 'flesh' and its 'infirmity' are expressions of belief. You are not a victim of your impulses but the I AM, the awareness that can redraw the map of your life. When you yield your members to uncleanness, you rivet a state; when you yield them to righteousness, you awaken holiness. This is a shift of state, not a conquest of force. Imagine the faculties of sight, hearing, hands, and will as obedient servants in the service of a new inner decree: I yield to righteousness unto holiness. Do not change the outer form first; revise the inner premise, feel the end desired as already yours, and let the external world reflect that inner alignment. Your body becomes the instrument through which your holy state is expressed, not the cause of it. The more you dwell in the I AM and in the end-state of holiness, the more your actions align with that reality.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and softly say, I yield my members to righteousness unto holiness, and feel the wish fulfilled as if already done; sit with this feeling for 5 minutes, letting it permeate every limb.
