Romans 5:8

Biblical Context

God demonstrates His love for us. Christ died for us while we were yet sinners.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your present self can not escape the truth that God’s love is already yours. The verse says He commendeth His love toward us, which means the I AM within you is forever praising your true nature. When it is written that Christ died for us while we were sinners, Neville would say the 'Christ' is not a distant event, but the inner light that dissolves the old sense of separation. The 'while we were yet sinners' is a moment in which you realize that the love existed before your awareness; your failure did not deter it. The death of the old self is the surrender of the false story of separation; the 'Christ' risen is your renewed sense of being one with God. The event is an inner movement, a qualifying release from fear into love. Begin with the assumption that you are already loved, accepted, and complete. In your imagination, align your inner state with this truth and watch as outer appearances echo the certainty.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and place a hand on your chest. Repeat, 'I am loved by God; I am the beloved now,' until the feeling of reality rises and remains.
