Grace’s Gift in Romans 5:15-16

Romans 5:15-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Romans 5 in context

Scripture Focus

15But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
Romans 5:15-16

Biblical Context

Romans 5:15-16 contrasts the limited impact of one offense with the boundless grace of God in Christ; the gift brings justification where condemnation once prevailed.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the fall not as a historical act only, but as a state of consciousness in which you believed you were separate from the I AM. The offense of one became a belief that life is lack; yet the grace of God, expressed through Jesus Christ, is the gift that already abides within you when you turn your attention to your own inner I AM. So the comparison is not external facts but inner states: condemnation is an inner verdict you hold, while justification is the felt-reality that you are now the expression of grace. The gift is not earned; it is God’s grace freely given, and it abounds to many as you awaken to your true nature. Your awareness can shift from fear to gratitude, from sin-consciousness to righteousness by assuming the state of one who is already justified. The law of repetition shows that as you dwell in the feeling of being beloved, the images and circumstances align to reflect that inner state.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are already justified; dwell in the state of grace until the sense of separation dissolves and the world reflects your inner decree.
