Romans 5:10

Biblical Context

Romans 5:10 teaches that while we were enemies of God, reconciliation came through the death of His Son; now that we are reconciled, we are saved by His life.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 5:10 speaks to the inner court of consciousness. I understand the 'death of the Son' as the moment I let go of the notion that I am an enemy, a separate self. In that instant, reconciliation is accomplished not by history, but by awakening to my true I AM—God within. If I, who once believed in separation, am reconciled by that death, then much more I am saved by the life that now animates my being. The 'life' is not a future event but the continuous activity of consciousness, the ever-present light that holds me in right relation with the Whole. As I dwell in this awareness, the old sense of conflict dissolves; my thoughts align with divine nature; my actions reflect one unity with God. The life I live is the life of the Son in me—an unbroken, forgiving, overcoming present tense. The moment I accept this inner state, salvation is no longer something to reach but something I embody here and now.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and, in imagination, let the old self die and dissolve into God; then feel the life of the Son rise in you as your present awareness—reconciled and saved, now.
