Biblical Context
Being justified by faith, we now have peace with God through Jesus Christ. This peace is an inner, present alignment—not a future reward earned by works.
Neville's Inner Vision
The verse announces a startling inner fact: you are justified by faith, therefore you stand at peace with God now. Do not look for this peace in external circumstances or in some distant reward; it is the result of a shift in your own inner state. In Neville’s language, God is the I AM—the awareness that you are, here and now. Jesus Christ is not distant history but the name of the living principle that reconciles your mind to its rightful state. When you accept that this reconciliation is already complete, you commit to living from the end you desire, not toward it. The moment you root your sense of self in the truth of justified unity, every image of separation dissolves and peace flows through your veins as quiet certainty. Your prayers and supplications become the language of an inner agreement with the Divine, and the world answers from that agreement. So consider the clause, through our Lord Jesus Christ, as the invitation to identify with Christ consciousness, the reigning fact of your inner life, here and now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, assume you are already justified by faith, and feel the peace with God in your chest. Dwell in the I AM as your constant reality and let the outer world reflect that inner state.
